The "Coat Of Arms" Revisited

Recently I listened to a interview with Mark Joyner and Gary Halbert about Garys famous Coat of Arms sales letter and marketing campaign. It's been called the greatest direct marketing success stories of all time.

You can read the actual "Coat of Arms" sales letter here:

http://www.dotcomsecrets.com/content/coa.pdf

Gary made millions of dollars selling these $2 Coat of Arms through direct mail. The letter was mailed over 600,000,000 times and he eventually sold the company for $70 million to Ancestery.com.

This is how it worked

First off he would create a Coat of Arms for one family name (like the Brunson family) He would go through the phonebook and find all of the Brunsons in the country and he would mail this Coat of Arms personalized to the Brunson family.

Then people like my wife would see the letter and get so excited that theyd buy a copy for themselves and for everyone else in the Brunson family.

He would then move on to the next last name. During his testing he found out something very interesting If there were more then 7,500 people with the same last name, than that those letters wouldnt convert.

The reason was that their name was just too common and either they didnt believe the letter or they just didnt care. For example, names like Smith or Johnson are too common and he wouldnt get any orders. You had to find names like Brunson that werent as common and youd hit the jackpot.

That story got me very excited, but I couldnt think how to apply it to my business until I got the above postcard in the mail.

Notice anything special?

The company prints out a ton of Brunson University products and then mails every Brunson in the country. What then happens (and this is a true story) is my wife finds the postcard and buys hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise for every Brunson she knows.

How could you apply this to your business? You could do all sorts of things think of things like a mug, t-shirts, mousepads or some other kind of personalized project, go through and personalize to a certain last name and test it out with your local phonebook.

Here was a very memorable quote in the interview by Gary Halbert:
Properly exploited, one good idea that occurs to you while walking on the beach is worth more than 10 lifetimes of hard work.

I hope creative wheels are turning at this point

Using postcards in your business is a very powerful strategy. If you would like to see the postcard autoresponder system that I am using to completely automate this process, visit:

Business Card Etiquette for International Businessmen

In a globalized world, international businessmen require more than certain skills and knowledge in their corresponding financial or commercial branch, but also the basic understanding of customer's local culture to avoid frustration, misunderstanding and even potential embarrassment.

Whether a company or any independent professional, should research not only to get cheap international plane tickets to make the trip more affordable, but also acquiring basic facts about regional culture and etiquette, including business cards.

If you are involved in international business, then you need to keep up with your client's country values, norms, behaviors, and even everyday facts including art, food, fashion, architecture, etc. The more you learn about your clients' nations, the more opportunities to close successful deals. However, any solid relationship begins by recognizing the importance of learning the proper etiquette.

Business cards are usually the first thing that any customer or prospective client will get from you, so you should make sure they cause a positive impression on them. The way they perceive you from the beginning will leave a lasting impression in their memory, giving them right from the start the impression whether to create a business relationship with you.

As an example, getting cheap international plane tickets to attend a meeting abroad is fine, but your cards must reflect you are not trying to save costs. Every nation has different idiosyncrasies, but general business card etiquette encloses the guidelines to make the best impression on current and potential clients.

Becoming a successful businessman or businesswoman is easy if you simply read a little bit about customs and practices of the region where your partners, co-workers and clients live. Knowledge is generally the best guidance, pointing you in the right direction for creating international lasting business, fulfilling both intentions and expectations coming from each partner involved.

Furthermore, business card etiquette is only one aspect of great importance when it comes to international exchange of business cards, because unlike America or Canada, in other countries, business cards have very different meanings, and not only a convenient way of capturing essential personal or businesses details.

This way, business cards in the United Kingdom are relaxed and involve just a little ceremony. Keeping the cards clean and presentable, even if carried in a pocket, but in Japan, business cards are exchanged with great ceremony and they should be kept in pristine condition, given them with only one hand and always received with two hands. Whether you want to present color business cards is another consideration.

Getting cheap international plane tickets save money. Invest that money in quality cards that speak by themselves about your business, and include in them your title, university degree or any other honor, if you have any, because many countries all over the world place emphasis on status and hierarchy. Business card printing should always be done professionally.

With different approaches, business cards http://www.latenightprinters.com, whether for department stores or collection agencies, are considered as a representation of the owner, consciously or unconsciously, so make sure to apply what the proper business etiquette demands in every region where you move.

A Look at Slogans

Let's take a look at slogans and how just a few words can say volumes. A slogan is a memorable phrase used in conjunction with a political, commercial, or religious advertisement. Slogans are used to convey a deeper meaning. Slogans can be used to elicit emotions, or the slogan might paint a visual image that implies something more.

When considering a slogan or a tagline, keep in mind your objectives. What image do you wish to portray? Slogans should be short, but not to the point of being pithy. Slogans should conjure positive images and distinguish the value your company or product provides.

The best way to analyze slogans is to look at a few.

Slogan: "The toughest job you will ever love" (Peace Corps)

Message behind slogan: This is much more than just a job; it takes heart to be in the Peace Corps; join the Peace Corps and you will be a better person. This job is not about money it is about helping people.

Slogan: "Be Seen, Be Sold" (Shareware Promotions)

Message behind slogan: Being found on the Internet is not easy. Use us to be found on the Internet."

Slogan: "You could learn a lot from a dummy. Buckle up" (National Highway Traffic Safety Admin)

Message behind slogan: Learn from test dummies, be safe and buckle up.

Slogan: "Parents who use drugs have kids who use drugs" (The Partnership for a Drug-free America)

Message behind slogan: Model what you preach, do you want your children to do drugs? It is your responsibility to model appropriate behavior for your children.

Slogan: "This is your brain on drugs" (The Partnership for a Drug-free America)

Message behind slogan: Do you know what this stuff does to you? Taking drugs is stupid.

Slogan: "A diamond is forever" (DeBeers '1948)

Message behind slogan: Diamonds represent marriage, marriage should be forever. If you really want your marriage to last it should be sealed with a diamond.

Slogan: "It takes a licking and keeps on ticking" (Timex Corp)

Message behind slogan: It does not get any more durable than this, other watches can not stand up, but Timex will endure regardless of the treatment.

Slogan: "For all you do, this Bud's for you" (Budweiser)

Message behind slogan: After a long hard day, drink beer to relax.

Slogan: "Where's the beef ? "(Wendys)

Message behind slogan: Our competitors use small patties, but our burgers are big.

Slogan: "I love New York" (NYC)

Message behind slogan: New York is a special place, everyone loves NY, you should come and visit, you will love it too.

Slogan: "See what brown can do for you" (UPS)

Message behind slogan: We do more than just ship packages, we have additional offerings and can do more than just ship.

Slogan: "The few, the proud, the Marines" (US Marines)

Message behind slogan: We are a select group of very special individuals. Do you want to be elite? Take pride in representing the US.

Slogan: "Friends don't let friends drive drunk"

Message behind slogan: You will die if you drive drunk. It is your responsibility to protect your friends. Be responsible, don't let people drive drunk.

Effective slogans leave impressions in the minds of people who see or hear the slogans. Often slogans will have hidden meanings, or be a play on words. The goal of the slogan creator should be to create a memorable tagline that conveys a key benefit or differentiates the brand. Slogans will often help position the product or service in the marketplace. Slogans with just a few words can indicate superior value, excellence, or inspiration.

A business identity and image conveyed through a short statement will affect the way that consumers, competitors and others in the industry perceive your business. Slogans will distinguish your company in a unique way. Words are powerful, and if used properly, they can be an important sales tool.

Bad credit secured loans are a healthy way for banks to facilitate defaulters with financial aid while at the same time securing their own interest in the shape of a collaterals or securities which they demand from the borrower.

Quick Tips for Better Bannering

The goal of using a banner is to grab people's attention, even in a city where there are billboards and signs competing for every glance. It's a high profile way of getting a message out to the public. You've probably seen a labor dispute where this tactic was used by a union organizer. A banner might read something like, "Shame on Acme Builders/Labor Dispute." It can be very effective if done properly. You can customize your message to say whatever you want. Here are some quick tips for maximum visibility and effectiveness.

1) Keep the Headline Brief Limit your words to seven or less. Anything more and people will lose the message. Focus your attention on creating a great headline for the banner.

2) Make a collapsible PVC Frame Assemble a sturdy portable frame made from inexpensive PVC pipe. The frame should be light weight and easily set up and moved.

3) Recruit Volunteers - The more volunteers the better. It sends a message to the public that real people are behind the dispute.

4) Avoid High Winds A banner tends to act like a sail even in the slightest winds. Order a high quality banner with plenty of grommets and secure it with ball bungees.

5) Pick a High Traffic Area Set up along high traffic routes for drivers and pedestrians to see. Get the message out to as many people as you can in the shortest amount of time.

6) Choose the Right Time Make the biggest impact by timing your activities for peak traffic and maximum visibility.

7) Hand Something Out - Distribute leaflets, stickers, or buttons. This is an opportunity to connect with the public. You could also collect signatures on a petition.

8) Turn Up the Pressure In the beginning start out slow and each day increase the amount of time and the number of volunteers. Your mission should be to build momentum.

9) Never Fold a Banner Avoid leaving permanent creases and wrinkles. Gently roll-up the banner when you are finished.

10) Enjoy Yourself Show enthusiasm for what you're doing. Your delivery is as important as the message on the banner.

Armed with these quick tips for better bannering you should be able to grab people's attention regardless of competing signs and billboards. You will get your message out to the public in a high profile way and enjoy the process knowing that you are being as effective as you can be.

A Few Creative Uses With Autoresponders

If you've been online for any length of time and have been doing everything on your website all by yourself I'm sure that you've reached a point of exhaustion just trying to keep up. Just how do the big companies keep up with the amount of email they receive each day - not to mention the "mom and pop" operations? The regular amount of email alone can threaten to bury most people alive - not to mention taking away your valuable time to do all those other important internet "chores" that you need to do.

People expect prompt replies to their email inquiries from your internet business. This poses a major problem for you. Unless you can hire plenty of people to constantly monitor and manage your incoming emails or have figured out how to work continual twenty-four hour shifts (with no sleep) things don't look good.

Email is an essential part of your business. That can't be disputed. Email is an excellent marketing tool - it is inexpensive and it is fast. It can also be a major time waster. If you spend all your working hours answering that mountain of email, when will you have the time to complete your other business activities?

So, is there a way to overcome this huge time waster of basic email maintenance? I do have one major suggestion for you - how about the use of autoresponders responding to your emails? Basically, autoresponders are programs that automatically respond to your emails without you having to do anything (once they've been set up). Autoresponders are often inexpensive, and sometimes free. What these programs do is automatically respond to incoming emails as soon as they are received by the system.

Autoresponders can do so much more than just answer your email. They can also send information about your services, products and price lists to your customers. You could also set up an autoresponder to do more than simply send out standardized messages - such as an unlimited number of follow-up messages sent at predetermined intervals of time.

There are many different companies that offer autoresponder services free of charge. Go to Google, look for autoresponders, and you will find a long list of companies offering autoresponder services for you to choose from. Autoresponders are very versatile programs that do a lot of work in no time at all. Below I'll list a few ideas that will teach you to use your autoresponders and to transform a casual visitor into a profitable customer.

1. Create various mailing lists. Tip: Inform subscribers about your new articles when you've written them.

2. Write your own reviews. You could review software, books, music, e-books or movies and put each review in an individual autoresponder. Tip: You could also review your own affiliate program if you have one.

3. Publish your own newsletter. Most autoresponders can manage your subscriptions and follow-up with any interested prospects. Tip: Your newsletter can keep your visitors informed about your services or products and build your reputation as an expert in your particular field.

4. Publish a newsletter for affiliates only. Inform them of current sales, promotional materials, etc. Tip: Include advice or techniques that they could use to successfully promote your business.

5. Distribute your own valuable articles. Tip: Writing and distributing your own targeted articles is a very powerful tool to build your business online credibility, increase your sales potential and bring a lot more traffic to your site.

6. Distribute your own free reports. Tip: This could give your visitor an idea of the type of information you provide as well as the quality of your products and services.

7. Distribute your own email course. Tip: Each day your autoresponder could send out another new lesson, full of quality content - not just a sales pitch.

8. Once a visitor has completed your email course, automate a reminder about your products and services. Tip: You could also use these reminders to promote new products or services.

9. Automate your own sales process. Tip: Create an ad filled with numerous marketing materials which will increase the chances of converting visitors into customers.

10. Distribute your own advertising to future clients. Tip: If you sell advertising on your website, newsletter or e-zine, set your autoresponder to send the advertising rates (and how to place an ad) automatically to all your prospects' email addresses.

11. Create your own trivia quizzes or contest. Tip: Place all of the answers and confirmation of their contest entry in an autoresponder.

12. Offer a free sample version of your own products. Tip: Give your customers a sample of your own ebooks, courses, software, etc.

Autoresponser allow you to automate many parts of your marketing campaign. Autoresponders are potentially a very powerful marketing tool and allow you to make contact with thousands of potential customers with no work on your end - past the initial autoresponder setup.

This could be an invaluable asset considering how many potential customers you usually have contact with BEFORE you make an actual sale. Now that you have a few new ideas about autoresponders, see if you can come up with some brilliant and creative autoresponder methods of your own!

Dispelling Fears About The GoogleBomb Algorithm Update

Google algorithm updates always bring the fears of webmasters to a boiling point. In the aftermath of an algorithm update, some people come out swinging, making claims that Google is trying to put them out of business. Others look at their Google rankings and pat themselves on the back for having survived another "algo" update.

It has been known in search engine optimization (SEO) circles for quite some time that one could successfully implement what is referred to as a GoogleBomb. The best example was a search on the phrase "miserable failure". A search on those words within Google would show George W. Bush's biography at the White House website, in the top three or four results of the search results. This would occur, despite the fact that neither word in the search criteria resides on the White House website. At one time, Bush's biography had been in the #1 spot, but counter-bombing campaigns moved Bush's listing down the page a bit.

Many people have written about this phenomenon in time's past. I have even written about it myself. When I wrote about it, my point was to show the importance of anchor text in a link to build the value of a web page in the Google search engine result pages (SERPS).

The "miserable failure" GoogleBomb came to exist within a loophole within the Google algorithms. Google puts a lot of value on the anchor text that point to a particular web page. It is part of their "one link one vote" philosophy as to the value of a web page.

Bloggers joined forces to create thousands of links pointing to the White House website with the words "miserable failure" in the anchor text. The shenanigans of the George W. Bush bashers were eventually countered by their fellow bloggers on the other side of the political aisle. Eventually, the search phrase "miserable failure" would also bring up the Michael Moore and Jimmy Carter websites in the top few results for that search phrase.

The average person who did not understand the nature of the SEO game would occasionally stumble across these esoteric search phrases and get him or herself into a huff, because they thought that Google was stating their own political views. Of course, Google really does not have an opinion, at least not one that would ever appear in their search results.

The GB Update...

In this case, the GB Update is not so-named because "George Bush" disappeared from the "miserable failure" search results. Instead, it is so-named because it is the "GoogleBomb" update, which Google implemented in January of 2007.

Once the update was implemented, the "miserable failure" search began to only return pages that talked about GoogleBombs from a technical standpoint.

With the GB update officially rolled out (http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2007/01/quick-word- about-googlebombs.html), people began the standard Google-update panic process.

Hundreds of posts began appearing on forums concerning the GB updates and the fear that link-building efforts undertaken by search engine marketing (SEM) companies and webmasters would be hurt as well.

So, I did a bit of research. I have run several linking campaigns on my own behalf, and on the behalf of clients. Those campaigns were put together with a mix of keyword phrases nestled in the anchor text of links to our websites. I checked the status of all of the websites I represent, and without fail, our linking campaigns had not been hurt by the GB update.

Interesting Changes From The GoogleBomb Update

According to Matt Cutts of Google, the changes in the GB update were all completed within the Google algorithm. Cutts has always said that Google does not like to manually rearrange the search engine results, so an algorithmic solution to the GoogleBomb was in order. A few of the Google engineers worked together to find a solution to the GoogleBomb issue.

In an attempt to understand what had changed, I looked at a few of the more notorious GoogleBombs of past and discovered some interesting facts.

Broken Google Bombs:

* "Miserable failure" no longer returns George W. Bush, Michael Moore, or Jimmy Carter websites. * "Worst president ever" now only returns pages that make the claim the GW Bush has earned that title. * "Waffles" no longer returns results that point to the John Kerry website. * Tony Blair's homepage no longer comes up under the search term "liar".

Unchanged Google Bombs:

* A search for "Scientology" still has the "Operation Clambake" listing in the #2 spot (2007-01-31). Operation Clambake is a website that is critical of Scientology. * "Click here" still points to the Adobe website (although this was not actually a GoogleBomb). * "French military victories" still goes to the same page on Albino Black Sheep when you hit "I feel lucky" on Google's search page. (I still get a kick out of this one.) * The "great president" GoogleBomb survived. It still points to Bush's bio on the White House website.

The Question On Everyone's Mind

Everyone seems to be asking the same question. How does Google defuse Google Bombs?

Well, Google isn't saying, so we are left to figure it out on our own. Based on what I was able to uncover in my study of Google Bombs, I came up with a theory.

What I have been able to take from the results shown above is that Google may have targeted only "negative links". If you want to review what is shown above, all of the Google Bombs that are now gone had negative connotations to them. All of the Google Bombs that survived can be construed as having positive, or at least non-negative, connotations to them.

If my assertion is correct, then average, ordinary webmasters will have nothing to fear from the Google Bomb update. My sites and my client's websites also reflect that the Google Bomb update did not have any affect on us.

Maybe I am just grasping at straws, but I don't think so. You be the judge... "Worst president" is gone, and "great president" survived. To me, that says a lot.

The Google Bombing Legacy Continues...

Following my logic, Google Bombing is still a possibility for those who Google Bomb with a positive set of anchor text keywords. So, some Google Bombs will continue to live well into the future.

In 2004, Search Engine Watch suggested that Google Bombs are better defined as Link Bombs, since they can affect all of the major search engines, including Yahoo and MSN.

Google has finally addressed link bombing in a positive way, but Yahoo and MSN are still prone to link bombing attacks. For example, as of this writing, MSN still has George in the top spot for "miserable failure" in the MSN Live results.

An Income Opportunity Proven To Make Money Online

Clearly one of the most proven income generating opportunities for promoting your web site or small internet business is to publish articles online. This is a very simple way to contribute informative content and best of all it is free to use. You do not need to have a lot of experience or be a professional writer, to be able to place articles on your web site. Having articles that are directly related to the theme of the web site, will in turn give you an edge on the competition. By writing an article yourself and submitting it to the directory that you are using to get your articles, you then are feeding the community with great content for everyone to share.

There are literally thousands of these directories of articles on the Internet, being a member of multiple web societies will yield more and more reference materials that you can benefit from. When writing an article that you intend on placing on one of the many directories, it is very important to keep the required formatting in mind, there are some directories that wish for you to use no formatting, this is not a bad thing as in the end it will save you time not having to set the formatting up. Just make sure it is all done in a text document, and all will be fine.

Sometimes the directory will require a keyword or keywords to go along with the article, and may or may not ask for a brief description of the article in a separate box. Along with all this information, it is a great idea for you to have a resource box at the bottom of the article. This is an excellent way for you to give information about you, and the web site or sites you may have. This is an excellent method of self-promotion. The key here is to generate as much traffic to your web site as you can, by efficiently using web content and articles that appeal to people. This is very effective when you find great articles that pertain to your site as a whole.

Here is a helpful hint - Content is king, but the choice of keywords is also an important aspect of your article publication initiatives. Simply place keywords that you use in the keywords metatag of your web site in your title and in the body of the article. You will be giving your web site a boost in the search engine rankings when your article is accepted by the directories and they link back to your web site! You can find the search engine ranking of the article directory easily by installing the Google toolbar on your web browser. You will notice that the article directories have some of the highest rankings of all web sites worldwide! This is due to all the quality submissions and links they get from online publishers.

There is a very good chance that if someone reads an entire article that you have written, that they will be willing to read more of your work. This can easily draw them to your site out of curiosity, and could generate a new sale. This new sale could then be referred to someone else looking for the same product or service, and again draw a new customer. Word of mouth on the Internet is a very powerful tool indeed. So in closing, it is clear that these services known as article directories do have a proven solid purpose in the way of generating more traffic to your intended target and increasing the search engine ranking of that tarket. That target is your web site, an income opportunity proven to make you money online!

Marketing Trust For Mortgage Professionals

To succeed in the mortgage industry, get used to meeting people. Referrals from people who know you and business from Realtors will make up at least half closed loans. And no matter how good you are, if people dont have some reason to trust you, theyre not going to call.

Real estate is a contact sport, said Realtor Barbara Anderson.

She and her husband Ron are the owners and instructors of Success Real Estate Academy in Prescott, Arizona. According to Barbara Anderson there are some specific steps you can take that will keep you on their radar and building revenue:

Be really, really good at what you do. According to Anderson, this means communication, competitive rates and consistent excellence. While Anderson and her colleagues cant by law refer their customers to you, they do provide them with a list of three mortgage professionals. You have to be a star to get on that list. Nothing else will work. I tell my students that they need to get out and interview them, she said of choosing which mortgage professionals theyll work with.

Offer classes. Anderson says that she often has mortgage professionals speak at her school. Many of them will end up on the lists of the fledgling Realtors. Focus on subjects that enhance their professional lives. Topics that tap your expertise to show them how to save money, make more money or attract more clients are all winners.

Join a Realtors association in your area. Like marketing frequency, the more times Realtors and escrow professionals see you, the more likely it is that youll come to mind when their list comes up for review. If you can, go the extra mile and offer to host a meeting. According to Anderson, mortgage professionals prove that theyre helpful, congenial and accountable by the way they show up amongst their peers. Its just being there for them, she said.

Grow your supply of testimonials. Another way to tap the power of who you know is to collect testimonials from your clients. Most people will lend far more credence to another persons description of their experience with you than with your own assertions of excellence. Put the testimonials on your website, your brochures, your mailings and even on your business cards. A time-saving way to collect testimonials from all of your clients is to program an email request into your customer relationship management (CRM) software. That way, testimonial gathering, like all of the other tasks automatically managed and executed with your CRM, is a zero-work, high-yield proposition. If youre still shopping for CRM, consider one geared specifically for mortgage professionals.

Taking advantage of service opportunities and association memberships has skyrocketed the revenue and credibility of more than a few mortgage professionals. According to Ron Anderson, its the most important thing they can do after establishing professional excellence.

Their reputation makes a big difference, just like Realtors and doctors, he said.

Marketing Ethics and the Internet

When selling products online, it is necessary to use powerful words in your sales materials to get the readers attention. Doing this will pull the reader into the sales copy, will stimulate their interest and desire for your product or service and finally, will propel your potential customer into taking the action you want, which is usually to click the buy button or to sign up for whatever you may be offering such as a newsletter, mailing list, priority announcement list etc.

This is a successful and well-known strategy in copywriting and used by successful marketers known as the "AIDA" principle which, is an acronym for Attention, Interest, Desire and Action.

Properly learning and applying this strategy will give you a major advantage when trying to grow your business however, there is an increasing number of marketers who over-hype their sales copy to the point where they are actually making false claims and promising benefits the product either doesn't provide or just barely touches on what has been promised.

Unless you are already familiar with the merchant and the quality of his/her usual offerings or are following the recommendation of a trusted source, you may want to take some extra steps to make sure your online buying experience will be a good one.

Do a check on the merchant's website and if there is anything you don't understand or, if you have any questions about the product and it's benefits then simply contact customer support.

A reputable merchant should have their contact info posted somewhere at the site and by contacting them, you will notice the degree of professionalism and the level of support you will likely have if you should purchase the product. This tactic should be a good indicator in telling you if you should steer clear.

You may also want to visit popular forums within the related niche to see what others are saying about the product.

People are usually more than happy to share their experiences and there may already be on-going discussions or you can start your own thread to ask if anyone has experience with the product.

In closing, it is important to remember that common sense is still the order of the day and the practice of healthy skepticism will go a long way to making sure you will be happy with what you have paid for. If the claims made sound too outrageous to be believable, there is a good chance those claims have been grossly exaggerated or are not true.

3 Simple and Low Cost Marketing Ideas to Create Visibility

Marketing your business is one of the biggest challenges for any solopreneur its a task we all find quite daunting, and are simply overwhelmed by all the information thats available. Below I have put together some information on 3 simple and low cost marketing ideas, which you can easily implement right away to create more visibility for your online business and web site. They all work well for me!

To help you decide which is the best strategy (or strategies) for you, I have listed the pros and cons of each one.

Create a Blog

Pros

* You can really show off your expertise by posting on a regular basis.

* Blog posts dont need to be very long approx. 200-350 words.

* If you have some important information to share, you can instantly create a post no waiting for your next newsletter to make your announcement!

* If you use a blogging platform such as WordPress, this is hosted on your website. Each time you post to your blog you are creating fresh content for your website, which the search engines love!

Cons

* You need to post regularly - at least once a week in order for this to be an effective marketing strategy.

* You need to feel confident that you will be able to write fresh content regularly.

* It can be difficult to build a direct relationship with your reader.

Publish an Ezine

Pros

* Unlike a blog, readers sign up to receive your newsletter so you already have a connection with them.

* You can build a relationship with your newsletter reader and encourage one-on-one communication.

* You can go into more depth in your newsletter article than you can with your blog posts.

Your clients/target audience can get to know you through your newsletter.

Cons

* You have to make a commitment to publish on a regular basis, otherwise your subscribers will see you as unreliable, and may even forget about you!

* There is more work involved in putting together a newsletter than writing a simple blog post.

* You will need to subscribe to one of the ezine distribution services I strongly recommend you do this and not send your ezine via your email client!

Article Marketing

Pros

* If you are already blogging or publishing a newsletter, you have your articles written.

* It is highly likely that once you submit your article to one of the article submission sites, it will be picked up and published on other article submission sites.

* Regularly submitting your articles will elevate you to expert status within your field/niche.

Cons

* You have to write the articles if youre not publishing a newsletter or posting to a blog.

* It takes time to manually research suitable article submission sites and submit articles.

* In order for this strategy to be effective, you have to submit your articles regularly at least once a month.

Conclusion: You can just pick one strategy to focus on, or you can do all three! Whichever one you choose make sure its the right one for you. The key is to be consistent in your approach. If you decide to go with a blog make sure you have the time and motivation to add new posts regularly at least once a week. Dont start a newsletter if you know you wont be able to keep to a regular publishing schedule! And for article marketing to be effective you need to submit articles on a regular basis.

Success In MLM And The Mistakes To Avoid

Like anything else success in network marketing or mlm(multi-level marketing), comes with a lot of hard work, patience, time, and of course, it comes with its own learning curve. How fast one gets past the learning curve depends on education, training, and how fast one learns and avoids the mistakes often made in a network marketing business. In this article and the next one I want to focus on some common mistakes people make in network marketing and how you can avoid them and not let them hinder your success.

One of the first mistakes is listening to hype. Have you ever heard someone tell you to join my company youll get spillover or Ill build your downline for you or you just need 2 people and youll be rich? Well , you know and I know it just doesnt work that way. Too many times people promote laziness just trying to convince people to get in their mlm company. They are desperate and are desperately trying to build a business this way. It wont work it never has and never will! It takes a lot of hard work and time to build a successful long-lasting network marketing business.

Another problem in every network marketing business is you have people signing up and then not doing anything. When they are new they dont know what to do! Training is a must! Most companies dont do effective training and uplines a lot of times dont do any. People have to be properly trained so they will know what to do otherwise they will do nothing or do the wrong things and end up worse off. This is why you need to have a system in place to plug them into immediately to get them trained and making money ASAP. When people know what to do they are more likely to do it. This brings us to the next mistake and that is

You must be duplicatable! If you dont have a system in place thats simple and duplicatable then you will have a hard time succeeding. Network marketing is about duplication. Thats the heart of network marketing. This is why 95% of people in network marketing fail they are not duplicating. The other 5% are recruiting machines and they do most of the work. They can bring in distributors by the truckloads and build a big business but not many of their people can do that. Do you really want to build this way? Wouldnt it be nice to bring in people with a proven duplicatable system and plug them into it and then they do the same thing week after week? Imagine how fast your business would grow! Now it never works that everyone is going to build a business that you sponsor into your network marketing company, but what if just 30% duplicate what youre doing? Would that not be super growth over time? Run the numbers! And besides just having distributors as customers is a good thing- they dont all have to sponsor people. The idea is having a lot of people doing a little bit.

Another mistake is talking to friends and family first about your opportunity. Thats not a good idea unless Aunt Sue likes network marketing. Talk to them about your products and get them as customers. Then when youre making 4 or 5 figures a month you might then mention your business to them but never make a big deal about it. Be elusive and say just enough to elicit more questions from those who might be interested.

Another big problem is not managing your time wisely. This is a killer for your business because certain things must be done daily to consistently grow your business, and if you dont manage your time youll end up frustrated, broke, and in a bad mood with network marketing. If you fit into this category of not managing your time efficiently, or if you just want to get more out of the time youre spending with your business then I highly recommend a program called simpleology at http://www.simpleology.com. This will help you manage your time and help you to understand what you need to do to accomplish your goals and show you the fastest way to reach those goals.

This is the first part of a 2 part series- you dont want to miss part 2! Well look at how choosing the wrong company can have a major impact on your success and how fast you get there. Plus, well look at other critical mistakes so common that people make in network marketing.

Start Your Own Online Home Business With A Money Making Site

In the past I have fallen for the hype and wasted a lot of money because I really did not know what I was doing or did not have the experience and knowledge to put everything together to make an online home business work, so here are some tips to start your own online home business off on the right foot and how to make money online.

When you think about it, having a successful online business means that you will need to own your own domain, which will enable you to alter, add to and change your web site when necessary. You ideally need the opportunity of offering a free newsletter that visitors to your site can subscribe to, so you will require an autoresponder to be installed and a series of follow-up emails will need to be written. You will require products to sell and ideally you need to use companies who ship the goods on your behalf, otherwise you will need to get involved in accepting payments and shipping the goods, which you will have had to purchase first yourself. These are only a few of the basics and one can see that it can be very involved and complicated.

But let us look at what else may be required, just so that you are fully aware of what starting an online home business is all about. Owning your own domain and having access to your source code gives you the freedom to do what you like to your site, which means you have control of your business, but this will require knowledge of html. Internet Marketing is another animal altogether! You need visitors, lots of them, to your site to generate signups and sales, so ideally the online home business opportunity should offer a full training program and a forum where you can go to discuss your business, get assistance and ultimately you can offer help to others.

The ultimate of course is to find a business-in-a-box. This means that your website will come fully set up with the affiliate programs loaded and you will be able to select your own domain name and then be in a position to add any other programs to the site. The all important autoresponder should also be installed and ready to fire off emails to your subscribers, plus you will be able to add more follow-ups to your autoresponder.

You will be able to install a link exchange program to create linking partnerships, a stat counter, add banners or text links, change the colour and design of your site, choose your keywords and optimize your site for the search engines, link your blog to your site, add an article directory, stream fresh content onto your site, upload ebooks, software and more. Literally, you can do whatever you want as you have full control of your own online home business.

You may well be thinking that this is all too complicated and you do not have the knowledge, but that is the great advantage of joining an online program that sets your money making site up for you and with a comprehensive training program in place and an active forum which you can join and actively participate in, you will have all the help you need.

Starting an online home business does not mean that you are going to be generating an income immediately. You need to give yourself time to work through the training, learn and implement all that you can. It is a step-by-step process that takes time but each step you take builds your business. The marketing and advertising of a web site needs consistent, ongoing work, as you need to build momentum to ensure that your money making site is visible to as many people as possible.

If you have decided to start your own online home business you are in for an exciting time. You will experience frustrations and setbacks, but these can be overcome with the support and backup. The secret is just to press on and never quit. Remember, Rome was not built in a day. The learning curve may be steep, but work hard and have fun and once the momentum kicks in with your marketing and advertising you will start to make money online and reap the rewards of all the hard work you have put in.

The Best Way To Generate Targeted Website Traffic

DO you know the most effective marketing technique online? The fact is -"Search Engines acconunt for almost 90% of all web traffic!"

Without traffic, you won't get visitors. And without visitors, you won't make money, sales, get subscribers, etc. What good is a website without any traffic? And if the site is getting traffic, what good is it if it's not targeted traffic?

There are many ways to drive traffic to your site, both free and paid. But we are not going to talk about paid traffic right now. That is a totally different topic and could take hours to cover.

So, back to free traffic. Some ways of getting free traffic to your site is by Search Engine Optimization, surfing for traffic, or getting it passively.

SEO takes time and a lot of work. When you join sites that are surf for traffic sites, you have to look at other members' sites in order to earn advertising credits for your site to be displayed when another member is surfing.

The only problem with this is that although the traffic is free, it is not targeted. Everyone who is a member only surfs for the credit and very rarely even looks at the site, they just minimize their window on their PC and multi-task. So, the traffic is crap and worthless.

Now, let's talk about the best way to get free targeted traffic. It's called Instant Buzz. Instant Buzz is a service that gives you advertising credits as you surf the web like you normally would. What you do is download the toolbar for free, it only takes a minute. Then, you set up your ads in the members area. And bam, you ads are being displayed on other members' tool bars as they surf.

If you are looking for a great way to get some free traffic to your website, well look no further. Instant Buzz allows you to drive free targeted traffic to your website just by doing what you do anyway; surfing the web.

If someone likes your ad and is interested in what it says, then they click on it and end up on whatever site it was that you were promoting. Now that's targeted traffic! And it was free.

Within minutes, this breakthrough patent pending technology will be sending quality visitors to your site just because you installed the software onto your computer.

When you refer other members, you will also get a percentage of the credits they earn which will go towards your ad credits.

That's right. You can install Instant Buzz in seconds, never do anything different ever again, and you'll still earn traffic every time you surf.

"As revealed, you can get tracffic by following the steps 1-3.Step 1 endorses regular surf....a little step each day will lead to success so you should really start now"

Simply follow 3 easy steps and you will start to receive a steady flow of free traffic on virtual autopilot.

The Mortgage Business Is Changing...Are You In Internet Denial?

Refinances are down, new home sales are off, lenders are closing their doors, loan programs are being eliminated, and credit requirements are being tightened...it's no wonder we're not quite as optimistic as we once were.

It's against this backdrop that your on-line mortgage presence and Internet marketing takes on a whole new importance. There is mounting evidence that if you are not on the Internet bandwagon and if you can't be found by people searching for mortgages on the Internet, you are completely "missing the boat" in the mortgage business.

Many of you have told me "I just don't get that involved with online marketing. I've been very successful the traditional way for many years." Here's my response...My sincere congratulations on all of your past success and my profound empathy for the frustration you will suffer in the months and years ahead as your prospects leave you at the station while they board the express mortgage train called the internet.

Here are a few points about this trend to the Internet that you should ponder:

Both Search Engines and web sites are considered "referrals" and "trusted sources" by those doing the search. Being directed to your web site by organic search engines is a valid referral, just as a phone call is, or a referral from a friend or associate. People consult Google, Yahoo, MSN and AOL with inquiries and their most delicate questions over a billion times a week! If Internet referrals constitute a "trusted source," shouldn't you be one of those "trusted sources?"

The Internet is alive and on duty 24/7, and you would be amazed at what time of day (or night) people search for homes and mortgages. In contrast, the morning newspaper is usually in the trash by dinner time.

Supporting the proposition that newspaper readership and advertising is not as important as it used to be, consider these facts: In every age group, newspaper readership is down. In the 30-45 age group, less than 35% of people read a newspaper. Even in the 45-55 age group, only slightly more than 45% of people read the newspaper. People are turning to the Internet in staggering numbers.

Many publications including the New York Times are transitioning as fast as they can to Internet publication and advertising as they fear for the future of traditional newspapers in America.

Have you tried to get a teenager to read a book, lately? They are probably too busy Instant messaging, text messaging friends on their cell phones or watching videos on YouTube. Our next generation will be even less paper friendly and even more Internet friendly.

Mortgage professionals that have already committed to online marketing have been able to expand their marketing area and remain effective due to online communication; people find you on the Internet, call you or email you, and use you to help them secure a mortgage in an area they may not know.

So, unless you are in a state of denial about the Internet's importance to your future mortgage transactions, you need to take action immediately.

You do need the Internet...today and in the future...to succeed in the mortgage business. If you are welcoming and ready to exploit the changes you need to make, you'll be more successful in your online mortgage marketing and that's where the money will be in the future!

General Motors & Ford - Its The Cars Stupid part II

Weve already stated our belief that that 2007 will see Americans buying several hundred thousand less cars than they will purchase in 2006. We are looking for 16.8 million vehicle sales this year. Lets get into the numbers, and see what the implications are. When you, or I buy a car for our personal use, we pay on average about $25,000 per car. The car rental companies in the United States purchase more cars than any other group. They buy American cars, and pay an average of $15,000 per car. We dont see any big profits from this market segment.

Lets look at the dealerships, and sort out how the Japanese do against the Americans. A Chrysler dealer last year on average sold about 225 cars. If you were a Ford dealer, you averaged almost 700 cars per dealer. GMs Chevrolet dealerships came in under 650 cars per dealer. Would you be surprised to learn that Toyota sold more than 1600 cars per dealership last year?

Now you know why American car dealers are complaining and going out of business. In the last year GM lost 200 plus dealers while Ford lost 40, and Chrysler lost more than 110. This is happening on our home turf, folks. This is not the Japanese and the Americans slugging it out on European soil for control of European markets. This is the American consumer choosing to buy Japanese over American made products on American soil. People are voting with their feet.

Heres the next big question. If American car dealers are closing their doors at this rate, what kind of shape can the rest of them be in? Can the owners be putting big bucks into their dealerships while their friends dealerships are folding up? We think not. Will the friendly banker be willing to finance their car inventories when the bank sees other domestic dealers closing their doors? We dont see it. This means that American car dealers can only finance through the car manufacturers financing arm, and thats not good when the dealer has only one choice. We estimate that half of Fords dealers are not making a penny. We think for General Motors, it could be as high as 25% are unprofitable. Whats the customer experience going to be like in a dealer thats losing money on every car he sells? Is anybody listening in Detroit?

Every time GM loses a point of market share, they have to implement plans to dismiss 20,000 people from their jobs. We see the necessity for GM to cut another 60,000 jobs that they havent announced to establish break-even 12 to 18 months from today. With all the talk about GM in the news in the last 60 days, has anybody at GM or Ford uttered a word about their real problem, QUALITY? The American consumer does not want to buy American made cars in any quantity that would allow Detroit to make money.

We believe that GM will be unprofitable until 2008 at a minimum, and 08 can only be profitable if they maintain market share, and we see continued declining market share. The Chairman has verbalized nothing that deals with the issue of quality, and upgrading the consumers consciousness to consider GM cars when it comes to quality. Even Mercedes marvels at Japans ability to produce the quality they do for the dollar it costs. Mercedes doesnt understand how Japan does it at their price points.

We took a close look at Ford (where Quality is number 1, and Ford has a better idea), and found their restructuring plan isnt substantial enough to get the job done. They call it the Way Forward Plan. We call it the Lost in the Wind plan. They are taking total charges of $3.4 billion in 06. They expect to be profitable in 08, why, we ask? Whats going to change between now and 08? They believe they can save almost $6 billion in costs. We dont see it, and if they were able to do it, dont you think Japan would jump on the bandwagon and do whatever they have to do to drag their already low costs lower.

Did you know that when GM, or Ford produce an interesting car, Japan buys the car immediately, rips it apart, part by part in Japan, and than takes any interesting technology and applies it to their cars almost immediately. Japan can put out a car in one-third the time it takes GM, or Ford to design a car by committee. South Korea can go from design to showroom in even a shorter time span.

Fords restructuring efforts in our opinion are clearly overstating the bottom-line results. We see a headwind coming, where Ford thinks its got a tailwind at its back. Its going to get tougher for Ford, and this is being overlooked because GM and its troubles are getting the headlines. With the employees departing from both companies how do you think the guy down on the assembly line is feeling? Do you think hes a loyal, lets get it done type of individual? Do you think hes wondering if hes going to be there 2 or 3 years down the road? Will his pension benefits be safe? Will he ever get a pension? Will he even have a future at either of these two companies that were once the unquestioned leaders of American managerial know how?

Henry Ford wrote the book on manufacturing, and GMs Alfred P. Sloan wrote the book on building a company that is still studied at Harvard Business School, and MIT today. Somehow in the last 3 decades, the bean counters in Detroit forgot how to make cars. They literally forgot what business they were in. They instead thought only about the money. Labor became a cog in the wheel, not an integral meaningful partner in the process. To turn this American industry around will involve a different level of intelligence than the intelligence (used advisedly) that got them into trouble in the first place. Einstein was right.

Niche Marketing

If you have access to a computer connected to the internet, you already have the means to earn a good living with very little cash outlay.

Your main outlay will be in time. Time spent learning all that you can about marketing a product on the internet. Time spent on finding a product that has appeal. If it has appeal to the masses, you can bet your bottom dollar that there are thousands of other marketers promoting it.

There is nothing we can do about that. What we need is a product that has appeal to a select group of people with a specific need. This is known as Niche marketing.

What sort of niche do you aim at? Only you can decide that. What are you interested in yourself? There must be thousands of other people interested in the same thing, or something similar.

The various sporting activities all have their following. The major league sports are well covered but there are thousands of sports and pastimes that tend to remain in the background. They all have their adherents.

Who do you know who does something different from the crowd on the weekend? Think about it. Do they go to art classes? What about hill walking? Bookbinding classes.? Whatever they do, you can bet your boots that there are thousands of other people doing the same and they all have their own special needs. Even if its only a book on how to do it.

You may be surprised that the majority of spare time activities are carried out in other countries as well, all over the world. On the internet you have a global marketplace. In the high street you have your local catchment area with perhaps only a few hundred interested people.

In a high street shop you are open to the public about eight hours a day. With the internet your shop never closes. The net never sleeps. Twenty-four hours a day. Seven days a week. All year round. Open to the whole world.

Now! Dont go jumping in with two big feet. Stop, Think, Do your research now. Before you get too excited.

Find that niche, Study it until you know all the answers. Find a niche that really interests you. If it does not excite you, how do you expect to excite your intended clients?

Join forums and discussion groups. Ask questions. Better still, answer questions. Every time someone in the group asks a question, do some research on the internet and find the answer.

The more answers that you can provide, the more your name will become respected by others in the group. The more research that you do the easier it will become for you to find the answers.

Soon you will become one of a select number of experts in your subject that everyone else looks up to.

You are not allowed to advertise within these discussion groups but as a rule you may have a small By-line that describes who you are and what you do. Plus a link to your website. That is enough to get your name known and trusted by those within your sphere of interested.

Discovering products of interest to your new-found niche will be no problem. The major search engines such as Google and Wanadoo will turn up every-thing that you need.

Remember: The more research you do and the more you study the market, the more you will gain in the long run. On the other hand , dont take research so seriously that you never get started.

If fifty million others can do it, I am sure you can as well. The market for niche products can never become saturated. There will always be another niche.

Is Your Advertising Legal?

Internet marketing is crucial to any internet business. There are many different internet marketing strategies, but it is important to pick the internet marketing idea that best fits your business. Internet marketing can end up being the difference between success or failure for your internet business. With the fierce competition between internet businesses, internet marketing is arguably one of the most important facets of your company.

When you are trying to find internet marketing strategies and internet marketing ideas, it is extremely important to remember that your internet marketing needs to be legal. For instance, one fantastic internet marketing idea is internet marketing through the use of email addresses. You can find email addresses all over the internet, and then through internet marketing, advertise your product by mass email. The only problem with this internet marketing technique is that this specific type of internet marketing is called spam. Most people are very familiar with this type of spam internet marketing because this internet marketing takes up half the room in their email inboxes. This type of internet marketing is also illegal, and illegal internet marketing could get your business into trouble. In light of this internet marketing problem, it is important that all of your internet marketing be legal. You can research which internet marketing techniques are allowed and which internet marketing techniques are not. Being armed with a lot of internet marketing information will help your internet marketing to be a success and not an internet marketing nightmare!

After you have found safe and legal internet marketing ideas, always remember that internet marketing is crucial to the success of your business, and employ your internet marketing skills as often as possible. The advantage of an internet business is that you can do your internet marketing yourself without hiring an internet marketing expert if you wish. Knowledge in internet marketing is the best way to ensure that your internet marketing is successful as well as legal internet marketing.

Your Greatest Asset

Your greatest asset is your own customer list. These people have already purchased something from you in the past. If you've delivered as satisfactory product, they are very likely to buy from you again.

The easiest sale you'll ever make is to an already established customer of yours. They already trust you. They feel comfortable in dealing with you. You've delivered what you said you would so a certain degree of trust has already been established. Your customers are probably quite confident that you wouldn't sell them something that wasn't in their best interest.

The high road to increased profits always takes the route of established customers. There's always an expense associated with finding a new customer. Regardless of the marketing method used there's always an investment required in establishing a customer whether in terms of real dollars or human capital. Once you have a customer, any subsequent sale is made without the cost of locating that customer. The cost or finding a new customer is proportionally much higher than the cost of retaining an existing customer.

Keys To Success

The secret of capitalizing on your customer base is to continually feed them with new products and services you know they'll want. This is no time to diversify into completely new areas. Everything that you make available to your customer list must be compatible with what made those people customers to begin with.

Whatever subsequent products and services you offer must be related in some way. Think of your customers as belonging to a specific group. They're gardeners or small business owners or health enthusiasts. Whatever you offer must fit that product niche.

Always be on the lookout for new things you think your customers would gladly pay for. And give customers first crack at any of these new products and services. If you can offer a discount, that's even better. By letting them in on new products and services, you're giving them priority customer status, an added value of doing business with your firm.

Be careful not to overdo it. You don't want to annoy anyone, least of all your customers. Allow enough time and space between customer contacts. How much time you allow between mailings or calls depends on the nature of your business.

Examples

When a clothing store receives a shipment of new designs, they should first notify all previous customers who've purchased in the same price range. All the store has to do is contact these customers by phone or by mailing invitations to a special event where this new line is unveiled. Suggest to customers how additional new outfits can be created by mixing and matching and you've provided an extra service that will help retain customers.

This approach would seem natural for a wholesaler who relies on distributors or retailers to act as re-sellers. By showing your new merchandise and suggesting ways to move more of it, you're providing a valuable service while keeping in touch with your customers.

A self-published author of book on camping tips, should come up with natural additions to his product line to sell to buyers of his book. Things like maps of parks, local facilities, lists of "must-see sites" or specialty camping equipment, could all be add-ons made available to the author's buyers.

One final note; in order to start making more sales and build your business empire you must become an avid student of lead generation and marketing strategy the high-payoff items necessary for you to magnetically attact new clients to skyrocket your profits.

Article Marketing Domination Review

My favorite free Internet marketing strategy is article marketing. I've been using this technique since 1995 online and offline with great success. Many e-books (including mine) cover this topic but Article Marketing Domination goes one step further to maximize your article marketing efforts.

Article Marketing Domination by Joshua Spaulding is unique in that it focuses on advanced strategies for article marketers with some experience. Joshua is the CEO of Spaulding Marketing, Inc. an internet marketing firm that provides top-notch marketing services to small business owners.

The chapters of this 29 page, single spaced e-book include:

Introduction
About The Author
What You Must Know
Effective Article Creation
Effective Article Distribution
Studying EzineArticles.com
Marketing Your Article Marketing
Latent Semantic Indexing
Conclusion
89 E-Zines Where You Can Publish Your Articles
Valuable Resources
Closing Thoughts

Joshua opens the e-book by focusing on the changes in article marketing over the past few years. He offers his perspective as an article directory owner an as an article marketer.

Joshua covers keyword selection that will help article marketers stress less about keyword use and density. He also focuses on title creation and how to create an effective resource box.

An after submission strategy created by Joshua helps article marketers get the most out of their submissions. This strategy is truly unique and worth the price of this e-book.

Joshua closes his e-book with a list of e-zines that accept article submissions on the topics of health, home business, travel and home and family. He then suggests some valuable resources and closes with inspiring quotes.

Included as a bonus to your purchase of Article Marketing Domination is the software "Article Submitter" and an e-book "Write Like A Maniac".

Joshua and I have different opinions on only two points: the importance of proper grammar and spelling in articles and the recommended length. On all other points we agree and Joshua even taught this long-time article marketer a thing or two!

I found Article Marketing Domination to be an excellent resource for article marketers who are looking for an edge over their competition.

A Guide To Choosing The Right Hosting For Your Business

Don't believe for a minute that having a good web host isn't vital to your online business. If you get cheap web hosts, downtime can destroy your profits. You must do your research to find a web host carefully before making a contract with a hosting company There are many companies out there and they all have varying degrees of service.

Before you make your decision in what hosting company your will use, look over these points:

Reliable: Your host simply has to be reliable. You cannot afford to have downtime. You lose sales if people can't count on you. Really check out the web hosting company you want to use, reviewing their service completely before signing up. Ask what kind of servers they use and how reliable they are. If there are any testimonials look at them and see that they are authentic.

Good customer support: If you have problems technically at any time, you need to know you have excellent support from your web hosting service.

Monthly contract: Ensure you sign only on a monthly basis and not for 6 months or more, and that you won't be penalized for canceling at any time.

Set up fee: Don't sign up if there is a set up fee. If your hosting service really appreciates your business with them, they won't charge you for set up.

Backing up files: Does your new host back up files and how often? It is very important to back up files and good if your host does this as well.

FTP access: This is a useful feature that some web hosts offer. This will allow you to upload your site whenever you have any changes or additions to your website.

A good number of email addresses: Ensure the host you pick has enough email addresses for your business. You may need many or just a few, but your host should be able to supply you with what you need.

Bandwidth (traffic) allowed: If your host has 5GB of bandwidth, this should work for you. You should know how much you will be provided with.

Extra services: Look into what the price includes. Everything should be plain and laid out clearly as to what you will pay.

Price: You may pay varying prices for your web host, like between $5.95-$19.95. You should research the services offered compared to the price, which can be between $5.95-$19.95. It isn't always a bad sign to only be charged a low fee. It depends what you need.

Cpanel: is a useful feature, and simple to use. This will let you manage your web hosting from one place and has features like web stats and web mail. Make sure your host has a fast connection: Make sure you will have a host with a fast connection or your visitors who only have dial-up will have trouble. When your visitors only have dial up they will still have better speed if your host has fast connecting powers. This will make a lot of difference to the loading time of your site.

Knowing these points will enable you to know the best web hosting company for you.

Franchise & Business Opportunities that Attract Women

Buying a franchise is an ideal route for a woman choosing to go into business for the first time. Many franchise opportunities have been created to target the huge growth in female entrepreneurs.

Women generally speaking are more cautious than men and therefore prefer going into a business that has a higher chance of success. By buying into a franchise business they are limiting their risk to some extent as they are buying into a proven business model.

Many women desire a business that is flexible in the hours worked so that they can also meet the demands of their family. Another area of huge growth is in women seeking a business opportunity after their children have grown up. All of a sudden they are now totally free to focus full time in business.

Some franchisors have now realised that women make very strong candidates and subsequently spend a lot of time and effort marketing their opportunity to them.

A health club franchise that targets female clients and encourages them to start getting fit again is proving very popular with women. With very little prior business experience required and full training provided this is a low cost franchise. Location is everything here and the site chosen will make a huge difference to how successful this business is in the long term.

Another area that seems to attract a lot of women is the health and beauty franchises. This industry is huge and still growing. They range from specialist hair salons to shops that provide health and beauty products. Start up costs is again not that high and the potential for earnings is good if the right location is chosen.

Before I get accused of being sexist I would like to clarify that most franchises are just as suitable for both men and women. There is a definite bias in the franchises that women choose to buy.

Buying a franchise definitely offers many advantages to starting a business on your own. Women have been quick to realise this and now are starting to match the numbers of men when it comes to the franchise market.

Your Ebook Internet Marketing Strategy - 7 Vital Components

Do not underestimate the importance of having a good ebook internet marketing strategy. It will make or break your success in terms of the number of copies your ebook sells, and the revenue and profit you ultimately receive from sales of your ebook.

With that in mind, here are eight vital components for your ebook internet marketing strategy.

1. Set up a Web Site

The first and most important weapon in your ebook marketing arsenal must be a web site containing a sales page for the ebook. This needs to be a page dedicated to information about your ebook only. It is even better if you set up a dedicated domain name and site for the ebook. Now that web hosting packages are available for just a few dollars a month, and you can get a package allowing unlimited sites in one package, I strongly recommend giving your ebook its very own site.

Your sales page should be well-designed and contain plenty of information about your ebook. This information should include features and benefits to the readers, and of course, testimonials from your satisfied customers. And if you expect to have credibility with potential customers, your sales page needs to be free of little errors.

2. Build Your Own Mailing List

If you dont already have a mailing list and your own newsletter, start one. You may already have heard that, on average, people need to see a marketing message seven times before they will take action and place an order. A newsletter is a great way to keep your message in front of your audience on a regular basis, and at the same time you will be building up their trust in you as they get to know you and the quality of your information.

You might send out a regular newsletter - for example monthly or weekly - or you can set up autoresponders to automatically send messages at specific intervals. An autoresponder can send a given message at a specified number of days after the subscriber signed up to your mailing list.

3. Sell Your Ebook Through ClickBank

Why use ClickBank? There are several reasons why I recommend that you consider selling your ebook through ClickBank.

First, ClickBank is a very experienced partner to have when selling an ebook. Thats what they specialize in. There are already 10,000 publishers and authors selling information products using their system. But there is something even more important than the number of publishers. Its the number of affiliates. ClickBank have an army of 100,000 affiliates ready to jump on your bandwagon and start promoting your hot new ebook.

Second, ClickBank has a neat payment processing system. If you use ClickBank you will not need to set up an expensive merchant account with your bank in order to accept credit cards online. Setting up a publisher account with ClickBank costs just $50 or so.

Finally, ClickBank works neatly in conjunction with your own web site and newsletter. You simply add the special links given to you by ClickBank into your newsletter and web site, and whenever anyone clicks through your order link, they will be taken to a professional order form where they can pay using their credit card or PayPal.

Whenever one of ClickBanks affiliates refers a visitor who goes on to make a purchase, ClickBank automatically tracks which affiliate referred the visitor and pays their commission.

4. Article Marketing

Article marketing involves writing articles and making them available for webmasters and editors to publish. The greatest exposure usually comes from listing the articles at article directories such as EzineArticles and IdeaMarketers. This allows anyone to publish the article without any fee to you, the author, provided they include your 'Author Resource Box' at the end of the article.

To promote an ebook successfully using article marketing you should write articles on topics closely related your ebook. Your author's resource box should be a small paragraph or two about you including a direct link to the web page for your ebook.

Besides being a good way to generate traffic, article marketing is a great technique for increasing your brand awareness. As people read your articles at various web sites they will begin to recognize you as an expert in your topic.

5. Pay Per Click Advertising

Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising is one of the quickest ways to drive traffic to your ebooks sales page. It is certainly not the cheapest source of traffic, but it is probably the most effective technique to guarantee a large quantity of traffic, fast.

With Pay Per Click advertising you bid the maximum price that you are willing to pay for each visitor that clicks on your listing and comes through to your site. The more you bid, the more likely your listing will show. Many webmasters obtain traffic for $0.05 to $0.15 per click.

One good thing about PPC advertising is that unlike other forms of advertising, you only pay for visitors who actually click through your link and visit your site. Compare that to traditional advertising where you pay a set price for the ad regardless of whether you receive any response.

6. Regular Advertising

Regular classified advertising is a form of advertising which is particularly common in newspapers and magazines. Many online ezines and email newsletters offer classified advertising spots. Advertising in these can be one of the best sources of targeted traffic, since you have the ability to select those newsletters with an audience that most closely resembles your own target audience.

If you know the email newsletter or mailing list is a very good match, consider sending a solo mailing. A solo mailing is a special mailing sent to all the subscribers containing only your message promoting your ebook. It will cost more than regular advertising within a newsletter, but youll get a much higher response rate.

And don't dismiss offline classified advertising. It is possible to run a classified advertisement in an offline publication such as a newspaper or carefully targeted magazine and get an excellent response of people checking out your ebook.

7. Profit Sharing

Consider approaching other web site owners and offering to allow them to sell your ebook directly from their web site. You should arrange in advance how the profit will be shared. I usually ask the other web site owner to pay me fifty percent of the revenue from my ebook sales. The web site owner usually loves it because they will have a new ebook to promote, and after they pay their own payment processing fees, they should still be able to keep 40 to 50 percent of the revenue.

There you have it. Seven proven ebook marketing techniques for promoting your ebook. You might not choose to use all seven, but you should be using at least five or six of these. Some of these techniques involve using third-party tools or resources. If you are interested in learning which resources are my favorites, I have some additional details on my web site. If you employ these seven techniques carefully they will make an enormous impact on the sales of your ebook.
